Early-access terms
Last updated 30 July 2026
These terms govern WattCut early access. By joining, you agree to them. Creating an account and joining early access is free; simulations are bought separately as a pack.
Early access at a glance
- Joining the beta list is free and takes an email address — no account, no password.
- Registering now secures the early-bird price on both packs.
- 2 wind-tunnel simulations cost €35 during the beta, instead of the intended €69.
- 5 wind-tunnel simulations cost €80 during the beta, instead of the intended €159.
- Prices are total prices in euro. No VAT is added (§ 19 UStG).
- Simulations are computational — WattCut does not book physical wind-tunnel time.
- During the beta, parts of an analysis may be completed manually.
- A place on the list does not guarantee a beta invitation or an immediate analysis.
- Nothing is charged when you join the list.
What costs money
Joining the beta list is free and requires only an email address — no account, no password, and nothing charged. Simulations are bought as a pack:
- 2 wind-tunnel simulations — €35 during the beta, instead of the €69 we intend to charge afterwards
- 5 wind-tunnel simulations — €80 during the beta, instead of the €159 we intend to charge afterwards
The struck-through figures are the prices WattCut intends to charge once the beta ends. They are not prices that have been charged before. Registering before the closing date holds the beta price shown above.
What “wind-tunnel simulation” means here
The simulations are computational. WattCut estimates aerodynamic drag from the photographs you submit; it does not book time in a physical wind tunnel, and a photo-based estimate will not match one.
Key dates
Beta registration closes on 31 October 2026. That date is shown on the website and may be updated here if it changes.
What can be simulated
A submission can only be simulated when:
- All six required images have been uploaded.
- The rider and the complete bicycle are visible.
- Images are sufficiently sharp and well lit.
- The frontal and side perspectives are usable.
- Each submitted position is clearly identified.
- The required rider and bicycle information has been provided.
- The privacy and promotional terms have been accepted.
During early access
WattCut is a developing platform. Parts of an analysis may be completed manually, and submitting images does not guarantee that an analysis will be produced immediately. You are contacted by email using the address on your WattCut account.
Image quality
WattCut may mark a submission as incomplete or unsuitable if the images do not meet the quality requirements, and will allow you to replace individual images before the deadline.
No guarantee of results
WattCut is an early-access, developing aerodynamic simulation platform. Any aerodynamic figures are estimates. The fastest position is not automatically the best position — comfort, breathing, visibility, handling and your ability to produce power all matter.
