Create your personal digital body from only two pictures
Aerodynamic drag depends on your shape and how much of it faces the wind. Before any position can be compared, WattCut needs a model of your body — and two photographs plus your height are enough to build one.
Why two views
A single photograph tells us your outline from one direction only. A frontal view shows how wide you are; a side view shows how deep. Together they describe a body in three dimensions well enough to compare one riding position against another.
Both photographs are taken without the bicycle, standing upright and visible from head to toe, so nothing obscures your outline.
Why your height matters
A photograph has no inherent scale — the same image could be a tall rider far away or a short rider close up. Your height is the reference that turns pixels into centimetres, and everything measured afterwards depends on it.
Getting a usable pair
Stand against a plain background with even lighting, arms slightly away from your sides so your torso outline is unbroken, and have the camera at roughly waist height rather than looking up or down at you.
Wear fitted clothing. Loose fabric changes your apparent outline and will be read as part of your shape.
